My copy of volume 17 of Ciel just arrived today. It's in Korean, so I can't read a single word of it, but the visuals get the story across just fine anyway and just asdfkl;j.

Note: Why is this my first Yvienne/Lariatte fic... Anyway, this is basically a genderswapped retelling of the event that made Yvienne and Lariatte life partners. It's an idea that's been nagging at me ever since I saw the drawings of Man!vienne volume 12 and Man!riatte in volume 13. After all, sorcerers and witches operate differently- how would things have played out if Lari couldn't be Yvienne's familiar? This was the result... I actually like it, even if it does sort of feel like I'm just copying the original work. |D;

And just to be clear: Yvian = Man!vienne, Laurent = Man!riatte.

OKAY SO. My German copy of Ciel vol. 14 came in the mail last night, and I stayed up stupidly late translating what I could and finally finding out what everyone's saying. And since I don't have any friends IRL who I can fangirl to over it, I'm gonna do it here. :Db Feel free to just skip over this post if you aren't interested in Ciel or my silly gushing about it.

Whew, I finally finished a fanfic for the first time in months. I'm probably happier about that then I really should be... especially since I've never written for this series before. >>;;; Oh well, for now I like how it turned out, and that's what matters most, right?

Author’s Note: This fic takes place after vol. 14, which I have only heard vague spoilers about and seen the raws for. As such, it contains vague spoilers of its own, and plenty of inaccuracies that will likely clash with the actual translation, whenever it may come. But I couldn’t help but write it anyway, because this ship is adorable and awesome and everyone should read Ciel.
